Childbirth Education

This class is offered free to mothers and fathers who deliver at Joint Township Hospital. Pre-registration is required.

During childbirth education the goal is to educate the mother and her support person the options that are available to her during her stay at Joint Township Hospital. Our hope is to have her and her support person to have a better understanding on what happens during pre-labor, labor, and immediate postpartum time. Our goal during the class is to her the knowledge to give empowerment to make informed choices in health care, to assume responsibility to her health, and to trust her inner wisdom.

We hold a childbirth education class every month. Some are on two Wednesdays in a row running from 6-8:30 pm. The others are on Saturdays from 8:50 – 3:15 pm. It is a class full of useful information and hands on fun.
