Nursing Scholarship Opportunities
The JTD Hospital Foundation is proud to offer nursing scholarships for our local high school seniors, current college students, or adults returning to college. Each year, scholarships are awarded to students looking to pursue or continue a career in nursing or the medical related fields. These scholarships are made possible through the community's support, Grand Lake Health System employees and the annual SIDS Awareness 5K.
JTD Hospital Foundation Nursing Scholarship:
- $1,000 Renewable scholarship for up to 4 years, as long as the student remains in a nursing program and maintains an eligible grade point average.
- Graduating high school seniors, current college students or adults returning to college.
Landen Philpot Nursing Scholarship:
- $1,000 Scholarship for nursing students with a focus on obstetrics or pediatrics.
- Graduating high school seniors, current college students or adults returning to college.
- Non-renewable
JTD Hospital Foundation Healthcare Scholarship:
- $1,000 Scholarship for current college student or adult enrolled in an accredited university entering year 2, 3 or 4, studying in a medical-related field (outside of nursing) (example: physical therapy, occupational therapy assistant, certified medical assistant, medical terminology, etc.)
- Non-renewable
Requirements for all above scholarships:
- Auglaize or Mercer County resident or graduate of a high school in those counties.
- (2) Letters of recommendation are required
- In-person interview. The applicant will be notified of the date, if the application is selected.
- The scholarships are not financial-need based.
- Meet specific requirements identified above.
- Past winners are encouraged to apply, but does not guarantee award again.
