COVID-19 Visitor Restrictions & Guidelines Effective 10/19/2020

• No Visitors permitted for COVID POSTIVE patients
  • Alternate visitation method should be used – phone call, face time, etc.
• No Visitors permitted for Geriatric Psych patients
  • Alternate visitation method should be used – phone call, face time, etc.

Care Partner Visiting Hours:

Monday through Friday 7:30am-6pm and Saturday 7:30-10am

• Inpatient / Outpatient / Ambulatory / Emergency Department
  • Limit visitor to one Care Partner during the visit.
  • Visitor must be a spouse, significant other, parent or legal guardian, or primary caregiver.
  • Visitor must stay in the room with the patient.
  • No visitation by anyone under the age of 18 unless they are the parent or legal guardian of a pediatric patient.
  • Alternate visitation method can be used – phone call, face time, etc.
• TCU will allow scheduled visitation in accordance with ODH guidelines.

Visitor responsibilities:

• Enter through the Outpatient Entrance ONLY.
• Visitors must be screened at arrival
• Hand hygiene must be done on arrival and throughout their time in the building.
• Visitors must be masked while visiting. Patients and visitors may provide their own mask or will be required to accept and wear the mask provided by the hospital. Masks or facial coverings must fully cover the nose and mouth. If visitor refuses to wear a mask, the visitor will be asked to leave the facility.
  • Exception: individuals who are unable to wear a mask due to health or disability. This exception is not accepted for inpatients.
• Avoid shaking hands, touching, or hugging individuals during their visit.
• If the visitor is a driver for a patient, they will be asked to wait in their car until the patient’s appointment is completed.
• The hospital reserves the right to engage security personnel for any visitors unwilling to comply with visitor restrictions.

Exceptions:

• End of life situations.
• Minor patients (< 18 years old) may have two care partners; limited to parent or guardian.
• Care Partners for surgical patients may be permitted to stay later as agreed upon with clinical care team on day of surgery only.

Visitor restrictions will remain in effect until the state of emergency declaration is lifted for the State of Ohio or until further notice.

Please do not come to the Hospital, a Physician’s Office or other offsite locations to pay your bill. Payments can be made free of charge online at www.grandlakehealth.org or mailed to:
