Works under the supervision of the Director of Information Systems. The Lead System Analyst’s role is to plan and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer, server, and network systems to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all new existing network/server hardware, software, and communication links. This person will also ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, the Lead System Analyst will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This person will also troubleshoot network and system performance issues and provide capacity planning solutions or recommendations. This individual shall analyze and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user training where required. The Lead System Analyst is also responsible for the organization’s telecommunications infrastructure which includes configuring, diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and optimizing all telephone systems and services, voicemail, and VoIP/IP-PBX communications systems, and video conferencing environments, both internally and those integrated with Internet-based services.
Associate or Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or Computer Networking diploma with 3 to 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Must have networking related training. Must have training in various Microsoft operating systems and personal computing products.
