Wapakoneta Primary Care is the long-time quality healthcare provider for Wapakoneta and the surrounding area. Dr. V.K. Chalasani, Dr. Christopher Meyer, and their team are excited to bring more space, updated technology, expanded hours and added services to the patients of the region. Wapakoneta Primary Care is a full-service family practice located in the Wapakoneta Medical Center at 812 Redskin Trail.

Wapakoneta Primary Care at the Wapakoneta Medical Center includes the family and internal medicine practice of V.K. Chalasani, M.D., who is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. The Wapakoneta Medical Center has been serving the Wapakoneta community for almost 20 years. There is an on-site radiology/imaging work area with a laboratory. Extended hours of service fit the needs of patients. Wapakoneta Primary Care also features a walk-in lab draw. This service is now available and open at 6 am Monday through Friday, along with an MRI on-site every Monday.

Wapakoneta Urgent Care, also part of Wapakoneta Medical Center, is a full-service walk-in healthcare center offering medical treatment for minor acute illness and injury. Patients are treated by a team of medical experts who excel in professional, caring customer service. There are no appointments – just walk in and receive prompt attention.

Dr. Christopher Meyer Joins Grand Lake Health System's

As the pediatrician for Wapakoneta Primary Care, Dr. Christopher Meyer will serve the area’s children and their families. His office is located in the Wapakoneta Medical Center. He and his family are excited to join the Wapakoneta community, and he looks forward to serving the region. Dr. Meyer’s received his Medical Doctorate Degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. His pediatric residency was at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, and he had training at Brooke Army Medical Center. Dr. Meyer received a Certificate of Merit in Special Forces Medical Operations in 2010. He was an ancillary professor in the Armed Forces Physician Assistant Program. He is an HEDIS Asthma Specialist.

Debra Newton, Certified Nurse Midwife

Debra Newton, Certified Nurse Midwife brings her expertise to the Grand Lake OB/GYN office at Wapakoneta Medical Center, providing obstetric and gynecological services. Educated at Case Western Reserve and Wright State University, she is a pioneer in crafting the midwife as a valued practice within the industry. Her skills and passion for her work are welcome additions to the Wapakoneta area. She sees patients every Wednesday from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. — 419-738-4414
