Did you know that not all CPR classes are alike? Joint Township Hospital meets the community’s various needs by offering different types of CPR classes, including those for healthcare providers, parents with newborns, the general public and more.
Heartsaver Classes for 2013
JTDMH is an American Heart Association Training Center and conducts public Heartsaver classes for groups of 4 or more. Classes can be conducted at JTDMH or an appropriate site of your choice. Classes are taught by AHA instructors aligned with our Training Center.
Heartsaver classes are designed for the individual who requires a CPR or First Aid course. Such as office staff, day care employees, coaches, babysitters, and individuals who may have a need to respond to an emergency.
- Each student is issued a course textbook for use before, during, and after the course.
- Each AHA course follows the AHA guidelines and core curriculum.
- You will learn the basics through the workbook and video and will practice these skills many times.
- After successful course completion the appropriate AHA course completion card will be issued.
- You need to retake the course every two years to obtain a new course completion card.
The course can be designed to fit your needs and can range from 4 to 7.5 hours. Price is dependent on options chosen.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers - 4.5 hour class is $50 per student
Classes are intended for Healthcare Professionals who are required to have qualifications in Basic Life Support and CPR. The course contains information on adult and pediatric CPR, foreign body airway obstruction, automated external defibrillation (AED) and special resuscitation situations and other cardiopulmonary emergencies. Pre-registration is required. Class dates for 2013: Saturday classes 8:00 am - 12:00 pm on January 19, February 16, March 16, April 20, May 18, June 15, July 20, August 17, September 21, October 19, November 16, December 14. Monday classes 12:30 - 4:30 pm on January 7, February 4, March 4, April 1, May 6, June 3, July 8, August 5, September 9, October 7, November 4, December 2. Pre-registation is required and must be received in advance. A course completion card will be mailed 30 days from course date.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED AT LEAST 14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE COURSE. NO WALK-INS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
